“I am excited about the American Tragedy Concert next Friday,” said Amanda French, an LSUS junior and vice president of the LSUS Student Activities Board. “I like their songs a lot and I think everyone at LSUS is excited about having a concert in the University Center. This is a great event for students and the community to come and have a good time at LSUS.”
The American Tragedy has performed at such notable venues as Farmclub on USA Network, House of Blues and Tipitina’s in New Orleans, Whisky A Go-Go in Los Angeles, The Big Fish Pub in Tempe, Ariz., Classic Rock Cafe in Oklahoma City, Fitzgerald’s in Houston, Hard Rock Live in Orlando... the list goes on and on! As a result, Tragedy has sold more than 8,000 CDs from touring alone and has shared the stage with such acts as Staind, Godsmack, Soil and Bowling For Soup.
Hailing as one of Dallas’ most popular rock bands, The Feds are on the verge of becoming more than just hometown heroes. In 2004, The Feds performed in the national Rolling Rock Town Fair Five competition and won the local, regional and national title in competition with more than 4,000 bands from across the country. The result was a performance in front of 30,000 people in La Trobe, Pa., sharing the stage with Velvet Revolver, Staind, Disturbed, Hoobastank, Finch and Sevendust.
