LSUS group to stage 10th Volunteer Fair April 13

The 10th Semi-Annual LSUS American Humanics Volunteer Fair will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, April 13, in the Lobby of the LSUS University Center and will feature representatives from organizations such as Chimp Haven, Habitat for Humanity, the Philadelphia Center, the Food Bank, Volunteers of America and the YWCA. The event, scheduled to be at its apex during LSUS “Common Hour” for the convenience of students, faculty and staff, is free and open to the public.

The event, co-sponsored by the LSUS Volunteer Action Center, is designed to promote volunteerism and provide education about local nonprofit organizations and their missions. Representatives from more than 15 local nonprofit organizations will be available to answer questions and sign up new volunteers. The LSUS Chapter of American Humanics has lined up games, free food and prizes.
