LSUS hosts GCAC tournament opener at home

The LSUS Pilots will open the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference men’s basketball tournament at home as the No. 1 seed at 7 p.m. Thursday (March 2) against No. 8 seed Southern University-New Orleans.

The Pilots, nationally ranked No. 1 in the NAIA, take their 25-3 record to The Dock on the LSUS campus against the 2-12 Knights. LSUS will play all its tournament games at home because of its top tournament seed. A win Thursday will put the Pilots in action Saturday at 7 p.m. Saturday (March 4) against the winner of the first-round game between William Carey College and Belhaven College. A win Saturday would propel the Pilots into the conference championship game at The Dock at 7 p.m. Tuesday (March 7).

Tickets, available at the door prior to each game, are $5 for adults, $2 for students with IDs and $2 for children.
