Region I Social Studies Fair winners at LSUS
03/21/05

The LSUS College of Education and Human Development has issued the list of winners in the 2005 Region I Social Studies Fair held March 10 in the University Center on the LSUS campus. Fair co-chairs Drs. Keitha Rogers and Debbie Williams, both assistant professors of education, said the regional fair is the intermediate round of competition between the individual school level and the statewide contest.

The Fair is divided into three age-group divisions: I – Grades 4-6, II – Grades 7-8 and III – Grades 9-12. Individual and group competitions are conducted by division in each of six categories: Anthropology, Economics, Geography, History, Political Science and Sociology. In addition to as many as four place winners in each category, there are individual and group Grand Prize winners and runners-up in each division, as well as one Sweepstakes winner in each division.
