Interested students should submit an application form signed by their faculty adviser along with a 250-word essay on "Why I Want to Pursue a Career in Journalism/Public Relations." Applicants must be college juniors or seniors by December and have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 overall and 3.0 in their major. The scholarships are awarded each year at the Shreveport Journalism Foundation's annual scholarship dinner in December.
