of nonprofits to be seminar topic

Dr.
Sharon M. Oster, Frederick D. Wolfe Professor of Management &
Entrepreneurship at Yale University’s School of Management,
will discuss “Sustainability of Nonprofit Enterprises”
Sept. 17 as part of the Red River Summit for Social Entrepreneurship
on the LSUS campus.
The
summit is the Fall Consortium Seminar presented by the National
Center for Nonprofit Enterprise and the LSUS Institute for Human
Services and Public Policy. Oster’s presentation, which is
co-sponsored by Service Connection and the Louisiana Association
of Nonprofit Organizations, begins at 8:30 a.m. on the third floor
of Noel Memorial Library. The presentation will be followed by commentary,
a panel discussion and a luncheon. The program is expected to end
at 3 p.m.
Registration
is $65 for NCNE members and $75 for non-members.
The
NCNE Consortium Seminar brings together academic researchers, nonprofit
managers and business executives to discuss the practical implications
of current research on economic issues affecting nonprofit organizations.
