names Butterbaugh dean of students

LSUS
has named Dr. Randy R. Butterbaugh as its first dean of students.
Raised in Ohio, he comes to Shreveport from Augusta, Ga., where
he retired as director of student affairs at the Medical College
of Georgia after 28 years in higher education. In that time, he
was a marketing instructor at Ball State University, Muncie, Ind.;
an adjunct instructor of marketing at Saint Francis College, Ft.
Wayne, Ind.; residence hall director at Mississippi State University;
director of residence life at Berry College, Mount Berry, Ga., and
other assignments in the Division of Student Affairs at the Medical
College of Georgia.
Butterbaugh earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration
and economics from Manchester (Ind.) College, a Master of Arts in
marketing from Ball State and a Doctor of Education from Mississippi
State.
