to discuss insurance opportunities and challenges

Louisiana
Consortium of Insurance and Financial Services (LCIFS) and Independent
Insurance Agents of Bossier-Shreveport will sponsor a forum beginning
at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, July 22, to discuss topics concerning the
opportunities and challenges for the insurance and financial services
industries. The forum will be held on the third floor of Noel Memorial
Library on the LSUS campus.
Forum
panel members will include J. Robert Wooley, Louisiana commissioner
of insurance; Virginia K. Shehee, president/CEO Kilpatrick Life
Insurance Company; Tom Thornhill, president of Louisiana Trial Lawyers;
James Prather, insurance defense attorney; John Bryant, president
of Louisiana Watch, and Ardie Cesario, insurance producer/instructor.
Dr. Harvey W. Rubin, director of LCIFS and an LSUS professor of
finance, will be the moderator for the forum.
The
$10 per person fee includes light refreshments beginning at 2 p.m.
Two continuing education hours are available for those attending.
Registrations are limited to 100 and should be submitted by July
16 to the LCIFS at One University Place, Shreveport, LA 71115. Write
checks to LSUS.
