Hibernia Pilots Golf Classic set for May 7

The
6th Annual LSUS Hibernia Pilots Golf Classic will kick off with
a noon shotgun start Friday May 7 at Olde Oaks Golf Club in Haughton.
Hibernia National Bank will again serve as signature sponsor for
the event and U.S. Rep. Jim McCrery (R-La.-4th) will return as honorary
tournament director.
Proceeds
benefit the LSUS Alumni Endowed Scholarship Fund and the LSUS Athletic
Scholarships. The tournament has raised almost $40,000 for scholarships.
LSUS athletic director Doug Robinson, as well as the university’s
men’s and women’s basketball coaches, Chad McDowell
and Ronnie Howell, will be on hand throughout the day.
The
18-hole tournament will be played on the Oak and Meadow courses
at Olde Oaks. There are three flights, all by handicap. Only two
team slots are still available. Tournament features include the
Campus Federal Credit Union Putting Contest, the Moffitt, Inc. Hole-In-One
Contest, a Long Drive Contest, the Chancellor’s Challenge,
Celebrity Driver Kenny Parr, a silent auction and the Hibernia Fiesta
Finale awards ceremony and taco bar.
The
silent auction features three sets of two LSU home game President’s
or Hibernia box tickets with hotel packages, signed LSU sports memorabilia,
signed David Toms golf memorabilia, overnight hunting package at
Legacy Ranch in Arkansas, jewelry, cultural event tickets, restaurant
packages and golf packages.
Entry
fee covers greens fee, electric cart, practice range, tournament
gifts, box lunch, beverages, taco bar and the chance to win fantastic
