Pioneer Heritage Center
to host Pioneer Day Saturday
10/16/03
Have
you ever seen a blacksmith work his craft? Have you ever seen a
stone arrowhead being made? Have you ever seen the fashions of yesteryear?
The LSUS Pioneer Heritage Center’s Seventh Annual Pioneer
Day will give you the chance Saturday (Oct. 18) from 10 a.m. to
4 p.m. There will also be quilters, woodworking, music, living historians
and more.
The Pioneer Heritage Center gives insight into the intimate home
life of the settlers and the natural environment in which they struggled
to survive. Do not expect “history under glass.” This
is a folk life event, and we hope to see you there.

- college), children under age 5 free.
