Reserve Corps seeks volunteers
at Homeland Security Fair

The Shreveport-Bossier
Medical Reserve Corps, which is coordinated by the LSUS Institute
for Human Services and Public Policy, will sign up volunteers and
provide free training for them at the Homeland Security Fair Saturday
at Pierre Bossier Mall.
The fair, sponsored
by the local Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness,
will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature display tables
hosted by a number of local emergency organizations such as the
American Red Cross, the Citizen Corps Council, Community Emergency
Response Teams and the MRC.
The fair is
designed to provide citizens with information and training on what
to do in the event of an emergency.
The MRC will
sign up volunteers all day and will provide them with free training
