course to cover ‘Teambuilding’

The LSUS Institute
for Human Services and Public Policy, in partnership with Service
Connection, is offering “Teambuilding,” the final course
in the four-part Nonprofit Colloquium Series.
The course,
presented by Ann Simmons, will be conducted from 1 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Thursday, Sept. 25, on the third floor of the LSUS Noel Memorial
Library.
Participants
will experience three processes that can be immediately applied
in their work environment to build on existing team skills. The
session will give real-world application of processes for improving
communication, demonstrating better teamwork and leadership behaviors
as well as exploring a decision-making model that will engage their
teams and get to desired consequences. It’s guaranteed to
be fun and informative.
Simmons, has more than 20 years of human resources and training
experience. Her work has included a broad range of technical functions
such as organizational development, training and development, benefits,
employment and staffing, employee relations and internal communications.
She is recognized as a professional who has the unique ability to
develop partnerships with operating departments to obtain maximum
results for individuals and the organization. She is a graduate
of Concordia College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree
in organization & communications management.
The registration
fee for the course is $15, which includes a box lunch and course
materials.
