LSUS
Pilots expected
to arrive around 6:30 p.m.
05/30/03
The
LSUS Pilots baseball team, which left Lewiston, Idaho, at about
2 a.m. today, is expected to arrive in the LSUS parking lot south
of the Health and Physical Education Building right around 6:30
p.m. Athletic Director Doug Robinson called from the team bus to
report they were in moderate to heavy traffic, but turning onto
U.S. 80 heading east from I-635 at 3 p.m.
The
team, triumphantly returning from the NAIA World Series with the
third-place trophy, is exhausted, Robinson said.
Meanwhile,
the NAIA World Series was extended to a final game tonight when
Lewis-Clark State College, the host team and defending national
champion, defeated No. 1-ranked and seeded Oklahoma City University,
6-5, last night. The two teams play at 9 p.m. (CDT) to decide the
national champion. Following the game, the All-Tournament team will
be named. LSUS will likely have significant representation on that
team.
