George A. Khoury, Jr. Funds Second Professorship

Shreveport native George A. Khoury, Jr. has donated $60,000 to create the George A. Khoury Professorship in American Humanics.

The new Professorship will help further the LSUS American Humanics Program’s efforts to provide academic programs and services in support of nonprofit and human service organizations.

This is the second LSUS Professorship Khoury has funded. Last year he donated $60,000 to create the George and Regina Khoury Professorship in the College of Sciences.

Mr. Khoury is one of the University’s most avid supporters. In addition to funding two professorships Mr. Khoury has also provided significant funding to the LSUS Pilots baseball program, the LSUS RiverBend Revue, the LaPREP program and the LSUS Foundation.
