Carl Stewart to address LaPREP ceremony 07/17/02

U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Carl Stewart will be the featured speaker at the 11th Annual Louisiana Preparatory Program Awards Ceremony Friday at 1 p.m. in the LSUS University Center Theater.

LaPREP is a two-summer enrichment program which identifies, encourages and instructs competent middle and early high school students, preparing them to complete a college degree in math, science or engineering. A total of 56 students – 31 first-year students and 25 second-year students – will complete this summer’s program. Judge Stewart’s son, Kyle, is a LaPREP graduate.

A news release, including the names and schools of the 56 students, will be issued Friday.
