LSUS Today
to air beginning Tuesday

The April edition
of LSUS Today, the universitys monthly television
show hosted by Dr. Johnette McCrery, assistant professor of communications,
will air three times in April, beginning Tuesday.
Set your VCRs
to record the program if you cant watch it live.
The program will air on KPXJ-TV (PAX 21) at 10 a.m. Tuesday. On
the airwaves, KPXJ is Channel 21. On Time-Warner Cable in Shreveport,
KPXJ airs on Channel 10, and on Cox Cable in Bossier City, it airs
on either Channel 7 or 17, depending on where you live.
The program
will air on KSHV-TV (WB 45), at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 17.
KSHV can be found on Channel 45 (airwaves), Channel 2 (Time-Warner)
and Channel 9 (Cox). KMSS-TV (FOX 33) will air the show at 11:30
a.m. on Saturday, April 27. KMSS is on Channel 33 (airwaves), and
Channel 8 (both Time-Warner and Cox).
The program
features a segment about the Noel Memorial Library and the massive
James Smith Noel Collection. Curator Dr. Robert Leitz is McCrerys
guest for this segment.
The second segments
guests are Midway Elementary Professional Development School Principal
Priscilla Pullen, Midway teacher Jody Nida, and Candi Bagley, assistant
professor of education. In the segment, McCrery and her guests discuss
the PDS.
The closing
segment features guests Susan Reeks, development director for the
Red River Radio Network and director of the RRR Jazz & Blues
Festival; and Steve Howell, owner of Howell Oil & Gas and one
of the many musicians who will perform at the festival. In the segment,
Reeks gives an overview of the radio network, and all three talk
about the upcoming Jazz & Blues Festival, which is expected
to draw between 50,000 and 100,000 to the campus.
