    A proud tradition has returned to LSUS! On Saturday, October 7, the Miss LSUS Pageant swept back on to campus in glamorous fashion after a twenty-two year hiatus. LSUS Freshman Pearl Merry ultimately captured the crown!

    Miss LSUS Contestants

    The Miss LSUS pageant is making its return to campus this Saturday after being on a twenty-two year hiatus. The pageant was brought back by the request of the LSUS Student Government Association, and the Chancellor immediately approved the decision. It was a fitting choice to bring back the pageant during the university's 50th anniversary.

    Louisiana State University Shreveport (LSUS) and the Defense Acquisition University (DAU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), which will support the transfer of Department of Defense (DOD) uniformed and civilian transfer credits toward the LSUS Master of Business Administration degree.

    The Fall 2017 semester at LSUS saw record-breaking numbers in the university’s enrollment history with a total of 5,797 students. This figure represents a 24 percent increase from the Fall 2016 semester.
