    On Monday, Feb. 5th, LSUS will be hosting a day long training for educators from Caddo, Bossier, Webster, Desoto, and Red River parishes. The presenter will be Louis Mangione, the CEO of Innovations In Education, Inc. from Seattle Washington.

    Hailed by The New York Times as “an especially im¬pressive fine pianist,” RICHARD DOWLING appears regularly across America as a solo and collaborative pianist. He has concertized in the Far East, South America, Australia, Africa, and Europe, and has re¬corded over a dozen CDs of classical, chamber, rag-time, jazz, and popular music. Dowling is also a Pi¬atigorsky Foundation Artist and has performed more than 1,200 recitals across 23 states.

    LSUS Debate Claims Best in State Again And Best in Southern Forensic Region

    The LSUS Debate Team traveled to the Southern Forensic Championships this weekend and maintained its near decade long streak of earning the title of top debate team in Louisiana as it won the Louisiana State Championship Title and the Southern Forensic Championship title in debate.

    LSU Shreveport is pleased to announce the fall 2017 Chancellor's List and Dean's List. These full-time undergraduate students have a semester grade point average of at least 3.5.

    LSUS Graduation Ceremony Welcomes Student from Ghana

    LSU Shreveport awarded 763 diplomas during the Fall 2017 Commencement ceremony held on December 17, but no one came further to receive their diploma and celebrate than Comfort Opoku. Flying all the way from Ghana, Opoku obtained her Master in Business Administration degree.

    LSU SHREVEPORT TO HOLD Fall 2017 COMMENCEMENT

    The LSU Shreveport Fall Commencement ceremony is set for Sunday, December 17, at 2 p.m. at CenturyLink Center in Bossier City, LA. Among the participants, 763 degrees will be awarded to graduates who have completed programs in the College of Arts & Sciences, and the College of Business, Education and Human Development.

    Pioneer Heritage Center Celebrates 40th Anniversary

    Pioneer Heritage Center Celebrates 40th Anniversary. Founded in 1976 as a joint project between LSUS and the Junior League of Shreveport, the Pioneer Heritage Center has provided education about pioneer heritage and folk life for several decades. The center consists of seven historic builds that include artifacts: Webb & Webb Commissary, the Thrasher house, a doctor’s office, the Caspiana house, a blacksmith shop, a kitchen, and the Riverfront Mission of First Baptist Church.
