LSUS MARKETING CLUB TO HOST PRESENTATION ON MILLENNIALS IN THE WORKPLACE

September 12, 2013

Shreveport, LA - Please join the LSUS Marketing Club students on September 18, 2013, from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at the LSUS University Center Theater, for our presentation titled “Understanding the Millennial Generation”.  Born between 1980 and 2000, the Millennials are approximately 90 million strong and represent over 20% of the current workforce.

This event is organized by the students of the LSUS Marketing Club whose goal for the academic year is to raise awareness and understanding of generational differences in the workplace.  With three different generations occupying today’s work environment – Baby Boomers, Generation X, and Millennials – the million dollar question becomes how do we all get along?

Dr. Michael Meeks, Assistant Professor of Management at LSUS, will be the speaker for the event.  Dr. Meeks was formerly on the faculty at San Francisco State University, where he was a founder and director of the Family Enterprise Center.  His research and consulting services lie at the nexus of generational differences, family business, entrepreneurship, and strategic management.

This event is free of charge and open to the public.  For more information, contact Dr. Tami Knotts at tami.knotts@lsus.edu or Dr. Michael Meeks at michael.meeks@lsus.edu.
