LSUS LEAD Awards 16 Leadership Certificates

LSUS LEAD (Leadership Education And Development) awarded its largest group of leadership certificate recipients to date at the conclusion of the spring 2011 semester. Sixteen students completed the requirements to earn the "Leader of Character Leadership Certificate" this semester. Presenting the honors were Dr. Paul Sisson, LSUS Provost and Vice Chancellor; Wayne Hogue, Director of LSUS LEAD; and Tony Arndt and Tyler Powell, past leadership certificate recipients.
The LSUS LEAD program is a unique inter-institutional university program focused on leadership and character development and education. To earn a leadership certificate, students must successfully complete nine semester hours of leadership classes. LEAD classes are taken in addition to regularly required courses in a major field of study. Completion of the leadership certificate requirements takes extraordinary commitment and determination to developing one's own leadership ability and individual character.
