LSUS Foundation Names Executive Director

The LSUS Foundation, along with LSU Shreveport, is pleased to welcome Laura Perdue to the post of executive director. Laura is originally from Harrisonville, Missouri, and is a 1994 Graduate of the University of Central Missouri.  She received a Bachelor of Science in Education with an emphasis in Secondary English Education and Social Sciences.

Prior to her appointment at the LSUS Foundation, Laura operated as an independent consultant for four years in the areas of nonprofit grant writing and management for clients across the country.  She has an extensive background in creating and managing fundraising campaigns, finding new sources of support and connecting public messaging with development.

Since moving to Shreveport in 2006, Laura served as the Robinson Film Center’s Director of Development, and most recently, served as the Director of Development for Providence House.  She also currently serves as a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

The LSUS Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to foster private support for Louisiana State University in Shreveport, manage investments, and serve as trustee for funds and other contributed assets for benefit of the University. The LSUS Foundation promotes philanthropic support for LSUS programs and areas of study while recognizing the all-important growth and success of economic development in northwest Louisiana.
