LSUS Foundation Announces New Board Members

The LSU in Shreveport Foundation, Inc. announces three new members to its Board of Directors. New directors are James W. Babin, III, Johnette H. McCrery, Ph.D. and Stephen R. Yancey, II.
James Babin is currently Controller of Franks Exploration Company, LLC. Previously, he spent seven years in the audit department of KPMG LLP, two years as audit manager, where he served a variety of clients from public companies to privately-held family businesses. Mr. Babin is currently chairman of the Foundation's Audit Committee.
Dr. Johnette McCrery currently serves as Publisher for SB Magazine in Shreveport, La. and also co-hosts SB Video Magazine monthly on KMSS-TV Fox 33. Before joining SB Magazine, Dr. McCrery was a vice-president of public affairs for Ketchum, one of the largest public relations firms in the country. She currently serves on the Boards of Directors for Providence House, Red River Revel's CORK Wine Festival, and Norwela Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Dr. McCrery is also a member of the Committee of 100, Downtown Rotary Club, and Northwest Louisiana Air Service Task Force.
Steve Yancey is a shareholder with Cook, Yancey, King & Galloway, A Professional Law Corporation. His practice areas include estate planning, commercial transactions, immovable property and mineral rights. Yancey has practiced with the firm since 1973. Mr. Yancey received his BA in Economics from Washington and Lee University and his MBA and JD from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. His education also includes a year at Rossall School in Lancashire, England and a summer at the University of Thessaloniki Law School in Greece. He is active in the Louisiana State Bar Association, has served for many years as a delegate to its House of Delegates, and also served as a member of its Board of Governors.
