LSUS Doctoral Program Represented at Louisiana Education Research Association

Lindsay Ferrington, Cohort 2 member of the LSUS Leadership Studies doctoral program, was the very first speaker at the 60th Annual Meeting of the Louisiana Education Research Association (LERA) on Thursday, March 3, in the Ramada Conference Center in Lafayette, Louisiana. Lindsay shared a preview to her doctoral research on "Servant Leadership and the Implicit and Explicit Bias of Physician Assistant (PA) Students towards Individuals of Low Socioeconomic Status." Lindsay also presided over one session of four presenters, which included graduate students and professors from Louisiana universities. Julie Taufa'asau (Leadership Studies Cohort 3) and Dr. Iris Johnson, program director, also attended the conference.

The Leadership Studies Doctorate of Education, which includes professionals from careers in business, nonprofit organizations, politics, military, education, and other areas, welcomes inquiries about the program and applicants to Cohort 5 which will begin taking doctoral classes in the fall semester (2016). The April 30, 2016 deadline for receiving all application materials is fast approaching.
