LSU Shreveport Students, Faculty and Alumni Win ADDY Awards

The American Advertising Federation of Shreveport-Bossier (AAFSB) hosted the annual ADDY Awards Gala Saturday, March 3, where several LSU Shreveport students, faculty and alumni were honored with ADDY awards.
The Awards are as follows:
Student Silver ADDYs:

Travis Harvey, junior, "The Indian Chief" Portrait Illustration
Ami Henderson, BA '11, "Diade" Portrait / Editorial Illustration
Ami Henderson, BA ‘11 "Hamlet" Promotional / Advertising Poster Illustration
Michael Neu, senior, "Fight the Paddle" Social Awareness Poster Design
Sasha Sosin, sophomore, "The Birth and Death of Big Sound" Magazine Layout Design
Professional Bronze ADDY:
Allen Garcie, Instructor of Fine Arts, 2011 Animation & Visual Effects Academy Movie Poster Design
The AAFSB ADDY competition is open to professional and student entrants in Shreveport, Bossier, Monroe, Natchitoches, and east Texas. The AAFSB ADDY Awards competition attracts 50,000 entries every year in local ADDY competitions. The mission of the ADDY competition is to recognize and reward creative excellence in the art of advertising.
