LSU Shreveport Professor to Deliver Keynote Speech at International Conference

LSU Shreveport faculty member Emre Celebi, Ph.D. will deliver the keynote speech during the 14th International Association of Science and Technology for Development (IASTED) International Conference on Signal and Image Processing (SIP 2012) August 20 - 22, 2012 in Honolulu, Hawaii.

In his keynote address entitled "Dermoscopy Image Analysis: Advances and Prospects", Dr. Celebi will discuss dermoscopy, a non-invasive skin imaging technique, and its potential for computer-aided diagnosis of skin cancer. He will also present a three-hour tutorial on "Early Color Image Processing" and a paper co-authored by Seth Marshall, a recent graduate of the Master of Science in Computer Systems Technology program at LSU Shreveport.

Dr. Celebi is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at LSUS. He joined the faculty in 2007.
