LSU Shreveport Organizations to Host Fourth Annual Fundraising Event

February 15, 2011
The Rotaract Club, Accounting Club and the Corps of Leaders at LSU Shreveport will host the 4th annual "Black Tie...Or Not...Benefit Ball" to raise funds for the Shreveport-Bossier Rescue Mission. The Ball will be held Saturday, March 19, 2011 from 6 p.m. to midnight at Sam's Town Hotel & Casino Ballroom.

Ticket prices are $35 for students and military through March 1, and $40 from March 2 until March 12. Non-student ticket prices are $50 each through March 1, and $55 from March 2 to March 12. VIP tables with ten tickets are $550. In addition to a ticket, attendees should bring at least one pound of loose change to feed the "Change Monster."

Entertainment at the Ball will be provided by the Bossier Parish Community College Jazz Band and the Blue$ Broker$. There will be a gourmet buffet dinner, dancing, door prizes, a silent auction, raffles, and several contests.

The Ball is an "edu-fundraiser" financially benefitting the Rescue Mission while educationally benefitting the students. The event is also an opportunity for students to learn socializing and networking skills while giving back to the community. This community service charitable fundraiser is an LSU Shreveport student initiated project, founded and organized by the Rotaract Club, and managed and hosted by Rotaract, the Accounting Club, and LEAD Corps at LSU Shreveport.
