LSU Shreveport Faculty Member to Present in Hong Kong
March 05, 2012LSU Shreveport faculty member Emre Celebi, Ph.D. will present a tutorial during the International MultiConference of Engineers and Computer Scientists (IMECS) March 14-16, 2012 in Hong Kong. IMECS is organized by the International Association of Engineers (IAENG), a non-profit international organization for engineers and computer scientists. IMECS 2011 attracted more than eight hundred participants from over 50 countries.
The tutorial entitled "A Whirlwind Tour of Color Image Processing" will cover the early stages of the color image processing pipeline including color spaces, color image filtering, and color image segmentation. Dr. Celebi will also chair the Keynote Session and present a paper co-authored by Dr. Jonathan Baarsch, instructor of English and Computer Science at LSUS.
Dr. Celebi is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at LSU Shreveport. He joined the faculty in 2007.
