LSU Shreveport Faculty Coordinate Science Student Workshop
March 13, 2012Two LSU Shreveport professors, Drs. Brian Salvatore and Elahe Mahdavian of the Department of Chemistry and Physics, are coordinating a science student workshop "Fuel Cells - Racing to the Future" at Sci-Port: Louisiana's Science Center on March 31, 2012 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Students in 4th through 12th grades are invited to participate.
The students will learn how fuel cells work while building fuel cell-powered model cars. LSUS students will serve as volunteer mentors.
The workshop is funded by the American Chemical Society (ACS). The workshop is free, but registration is required. Contact Sci-Port Discovery Center at (318) 424-8660 to register.
