LSU Shreveport Criminal Justice Professor Recipient of SAGE Teaching Award

Dr. William Chris Hale, Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice at LSU Shreveport, was selected as a recipient of one of the 2011 SAGE Junior Faculty Professional Development Teaching Awards. Dr. Hale is one of only 10 individuals to receive this award in 2011.
As part of the award, Dr. Hale will receive $700 to defray expenses while attending the 2011 Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences Annual Meeting in Toronto, Canada. In addition to participating in the Professional Development Teaching Workshop, Dr. Hale will be presenting two research papers and chairing a panel session entitled "Corrections: Programming and Perceptions."
Created in 2008, this annual award was developed in partnership between SAGE Publications, the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences, and participating SAGE authors. SAGE Publications is an independent international publisher of journals, books, and electronic media.
Hale joined the LSUS faculty in fall 2007.
