LSU Shreveport Bass Club Qualifies at Regional Finals for National Tournament

LSU Shreveport students Zach Caudle and Joe Landry represented the LSU Shreveport Bass Club October 28-30, 2010 at the National Guard College Fishing Series Texas Regional Championship at Sam Rayburn Lake. The team placed 4th overall.

Day one left the team in 14th place after four fish at 9.13 pounds. Day two the team caught six fish at 17.03 pounds. Finally day three gave them a final push into the top 5 with three fish at 10.07 pounds. The LSU Shreveport team had a three-day total of 13 fish at 37.07 pounds. The team won a total of $8,000.

Caudle is a junior majoring in business administration and Landry is a junior majoring in biology.

By qualifying in the top five at this tournament, Caudle and Landry are automatically qualified to fish in the national championships at Kentucky Lake in April 2011.
