LSU Shreveport Archives to Host Receptions

The LSU Shreveport Archives and Special Collections will be hosting two receptions Thursday, October 7, 2010 in the Noel Memorial Library.

The first reception is to honor faculty members who have been published between June 1, 2009 and May 31, 2010. The reception for 2009-10 published authors is from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Also, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. there will be a reception for the opening of the Preston A. “Pap” Dean, Jr. editorial cartoon exhibit. Dean was an editorial cartoonist for The Shreveport Times from 1938 to 1979. He donated his original drawing to LSUS in 2008.
