LSU Shreveport Archives to Host Grant Writing Workshop

LSU Shreveport Archives and Special Collections at Noel Memorial Library will host "Basic Grant Writing for Archives," an Archival Training Collaborative Workshop for custodians of archival collections on Friday, June 10, 2011. Topics to be covered include "Identifying Potential Funders," "Elements of the Grant Proposal," "Grant Guidelines and the Review Process" and "After the Grant Award." Cost for the half-day workshop is $35.00.

The Archival Training Collaborative is an Institute of Museum and Library Services-funded initiative to establish a sustainable program of affordable archival training opportunities for staff and volunteers in historical records repositories in Louisiana and Mississippi. This workshop is co-sponsored by LSUS and the Louisiana Archives and Manuscripts Association.
