LSU Shreveport Announces Fourth Annual India Night

The LSU Shreveport India Studies program will host "India Night 2011" on Sunday, April 17 in the University Center Ballroom at 4:30 p.m.
The event will showcase a "Jugalbandi" featuring acclaimed artistes Partha Chatterjee on the Sitar, Rajeev Taranath on the Sarod and Abhiman Kaushal on the Tabla. After the first concert there will be an intermission for cocktails and appetizers, followed by a second concert. The evening will conclude with a buffet dinner. Dress is business casual, evening wear or traditional Indian attire.
Tickets are $100 for individuals or $800 for a table. Tickets, which are partly tax deductible, can be purchased by contacting Viki Fentress at (318)797-5179 or at Asian Groceries (318) 752-8556. The last three India Studies events were sold out. Seating is limited, so purchase tickets as soon as possible.
