LSU Shreveport and BPCC Sign Cooperative Agreement for Computer Science Degree

LSU Shreveport and Bossier Parish Community College have agreed to a Memorandum of Understanding that will allow students to complete an Associate of Applied Science at BPCC and transfer all credit hours to LSUS in partial fulfillment of degree requirements for the Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems in the LSUS College of Arts and Sciences.
The Memorandum of Understanding articulates the transfer agreement and process for students to complete the Associate of Applied Science in the following: Computer Information Systems, Information Network Security Specialist, Information Network Specialist, Information Programmer Analyst, Information Systems Administration Specialist and Web Analyst Programmer.
The articulation agreement was developed by Dr. Leslie Fife, chair of computer science at LSUS, and Laura Goadrich, dean of the Division of Cyber Information Technology at BPCC. The agreement will strengthen the partnership between LSUS and BPCC and allow for smoother transition for students.
