LEAD Corps of LSU Shreveport Hosts Successful Leadership Simulcast

LEAD Corps of LSU Shreveport successfully hosted their first official event on Friday, May 6, the "Chick-fil-A Leadercast." Plans are underway to make the May 4, 2012 local program even more exciting and enlightening. The event, a live-via-satellite, day-long, leadership symposium, featured numerous world-class speakers such as John Maxwell, Seth Godin, Mack Brown and Dave Ramsey.
The 2011 local LEAD Corps programing, held in the LSUS University Center Ballroom, was sponsored by Willis-Knighton Health System which allowed almost 60 undergraduate leadership students to experience a cutting-edge professional event on their home campus.
A drawing for a new custom engraved iPad 2 was also held during the event. The winner of the iPad2 was TSGT (Tech Sergeant) Gary Lynn Lawson from the 2nd AMXS/ 20th AMU maintenance and ammunitions at Barksdale Air Force Base. Sergeant Lawson is the father of Cory Lawson, an LSUS student and a member of LEAD Corps.
LEAD Corps is a new professional and student organization formed through the LSUS LEAD program exclusively for leaders of character, or leaders who have earned their leadership certificate. Members make a strict commitment to a lifelong pursuit and focus of leadership and character development.
