Greek week at LSUS

May 02, 2017

LSUS’s annual Greek week was in full swing April 3-7, 2017. Greek week is a week each spring when all the councils come together to compete in various events. The theme this year was rooted in the 90’s “Now that’s what I call Greek week 2017”. Each team was given the option to pick a theme and they were asked to design a banner to reflect it. The week started on Monday with Letter day and dodgeball, followed by Greek jeopardy on Tuesday night. The mid-week highlight consisted of the Greek showcase during common hour where each organization performed a routine that included dancing and stepping. Wednesday night fourteen new candidates were inducted into the Greek honor society Order of Omega. Thursday was all about fun at the Greek games that included a few minute to win it style competitions this year as well as water pour and tug of war. Friday we packed and delivered all the donations that we gathered all week to make care packages for the Hope House downtown. Greek week is one of the highlights from each spring semester, and a Greek tradition that is praised on most college campuses.
