Former U.S. Naval Academy Student to Share Experience to LSU Shreveport Students After Cheating

LSU Shreveport will present a lecture by Lewis Sims, a former U.S. Naval Academy midshipman, on Friday, March 11, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the University Center Theater. The Academic Integrity Lecture is free and open to the public.
Sims was a student at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md. but was dismissed from the academy in 1992 for academic dishonesty. He was 30 days away from graduation. Sims is now a high school teacher in Mississippi and he strives to teach students from his experience.
