FIRST GENERATION CELEBRATION - "Pushing through Imposter Syndrome"

Date and Time
Friday November 08, 2019
11:00am - 12:00pm

WORKSHOP:  "YOU BELONG HERE! Pushing Through Imposter Syndrome"

As part of our celebration of first generation students, take part in an interactive workshop addressing common challenges.

Do you often feel like a fraud or fake? Have a fear that it's only a matter of time before others figure out you don't know what you're doing? Many of us are plagued by what is referred to as "Imposter Syndrome," a feeling of phoniness in people who believe that they are not intelligent, capable, or creative despite ample evidence of success and high achievement.  Many first-generation college students struggle with such feelings.

Join us to learn to take ownership of your success, overcome self-doubt, and banish the thought patterns that undermine your ability to feel and act as bright and capable as others already know you are.
