Festivities and Rituals through the Ages

What would a ghost, turkey, and Santa have in common? They are on display in the Noel Collection! Throughout most of the twentieth century, James Smith Noel collected an astonishing variety of rare and popular materials. The private collection of 250,000 volumes contains many treasures, descriptions of which are being added daily to the LSUS online library catalog.A small collection of seasonally themed materials will be on display in the Noel Collection on the third floor of Noel Memorial Library until the end of January. The library is located near the front entrance of the LSUS campus and the collection is open 8-12 and 1:00-4:30 Monday-Friday. From the history of witches of the Western world to winter landscapes and scenes of holiday cheer, these materials are sure to spook and delight you.
