AED Presents $1,000 Check
May 04, 2011
The LSU Shreveport chapter of Alpha Epsilon Delta (AED) presented the LSUS School of Mathematics and Sciences with a gift of $1,000. The money was raised at the Inaugural Bass Classic Fundraiser held last weekend.
Twenty-two teams entered the Classic. AED raised more than $4,000 at the tournament. After donating a portion to the School and awarding the prize money, the remaining funds will go to support AED projects on campus.
"The tournament was really successful and everyone had a lot of fun. We are looking forward to hosting the Bass Classic again next year," said Emily Hall, AED president.
AED is a premedical honor society and community service organization. Throughout each semester AED will host various presentations, workshops and visiting speakers to enhance the academic exposure of the students on campus.
