The university conferred 244 bachelor’s degrees, 41 master’s degrees and one Specialist in School Psychology degree. Among the master’s degrees were 16 Master of Business Administration degrees, the largest graduating class in the history of the LSUS MBA program.

Following the commencement address by Dr. Leon R. Tarver II, president of the state’s Southern University System, LSUS Chancellor Vince Marsala recognized students receiving degrees with honors, and presented the graduates with their diplomas.

Seven students were granted their degrees summa cum laude, having achieved a grade-point average of 3.9 to 4.0. Susan Janette Hastings, Megann Lynn Hayes, Justin Ray Sassar and Mark R. Walcher earned their degrees with 4.0 GPAs. Casey Nicole MacIsaac, Christopher Ryan Toothman and Amanda Allen Williams also received their degrees summa cum laude.
