2006 RiverBend Revue
Pilots of the Year

Sybil T. and the Rev. Fred Patten (top photo above) listen intently to the skit produced to honor them as 2006 LSUS Pilots of the Year at the annual RiverBend Revue black tie gala. The title of the production, “La Signora e il Preter (The Lady and the Priest),” is a reference to both their marriage and their extensive world travels, chronicled in the RiverBend Revue skit written and directed by Marilyn Joiner and performed by Patrick Kirton, who played Fred, and Susan Kirton, who played Sybil. Adding personal stories to the skit were: Erik Dillner, Ann Fore, Scott Green, Geoffrey Jenkins, Dr. Robert and Rosemary Lafargue, John Patten and Herschel Richard. In the gala’s opening presentation, LSUS Foundation President B. Bruce Simon announced that endowed scholarships had been established in the names of all previous Pilots of the Year. The Foundation Board allocated a total of $80,000 to establish the eight $10,000 scholarship endowments. Scholarships for future Pilots of the Year will be funded from the proceeds of RiverBend Revues.
