Scholarships Established to Honor All Pilots of the Year

The LSUS Foundation Board of Directors allocated a total of $80,000 to establish an endowed Scholarship for each of the Pilots of the Year honorees. Previous Pilots of the Year were called on stage at this year’s RiverBend Revue to accept the accolades. They are (from left) Leonard and Mary Anne Selber (2005), George A. Khoury Jr. (2004), Virginia K. Shehee (2003), Joe and Abby Averett (2002), Norman and Peggy Kinsey (2001) and Dr. Vincent Marsala (1999). James K. and Margaret Elrod (2000) were unable to attend this year’s gala, which honored the Rev. Fred and Sybil T. Patten, for whom an endowed scholarship was also established. In the future, endowed scholarships will be established for Pilots of the Year using proceeds from RiverBend Revue.
