McCotter, whose 33-year career with the phone company culminated with being head of regulatory and external affairs for north and western Louisiana, was named senior marketing director and vice president of Citizens National Bank in mid-summer.
As an Executive-in-Residence, McCotter teaches classes and makes his diverse management experience available to LSUS students in other informal ways. At Citizens National Bank, he is actively engaged in designing, developing and executing marketing strategies for the bank’s continued growth and business development.
“We are excited to have Kevin as an Executive-in-Residence,” commented Dr. Charlotte Jones, dean of the College of Business Administration. “He brings an incredible wealth of business knowledge and experience to our students, both in the classroom and in an advisory role.”
In addition to his membership on the College of Business Administration Board of Visitors, McCotter is active in the community as a board member of the Military Affairs Council and LSU Health Sciences Center Foundation. He also serves as first vice-president of the Sci-Port Discovery Center Board of Directors and is a member of the Advisory Board for the Frost School of Business at Centenary College. Since 2000, he has served as president of Campus Facilities, Inc., a nonprofit corporation responsible for building the new $55 million campus for Bossier Parish Community College. He will also serve as chairman of the 2007 Barksdale Air Show.
