'Read This Aloud'

Michael Sampson (standing), author of 29 children’s books, conducts a workshop for LSUS teaching candidates in the Science Lecture Auditorium. He visited Midway Elementary Professional Development School the same day, and conducted a professional writing session for LSUS faculty. LAE-SP faculty sponsors Drs. Keitha Rogers and Debbie Williams (front row from left), both assistant professors of education, enjoy reading along with the student teachers. Sampson, who accepted a faculty position at Texas A&M-Commerce in 1980, published his first professional book – The Pursuit of Literacy – in 1986, and publish several other books on literacy over the next several years.
