elects Simon president for 2006-2008
The
LSUS Foundation has elected B. Bruce Simon, owner
of Bruce Simon Construction, to a two-year term as
president. Other officers elected at the Foundation’s
Annual Meeting May 22 are Robert W. FitzGerald, CEO
of FitzGerald Contractors, vice president; Dr. Phillip
A. Rozeman, president of Cardiovascular Consultants,
secretary-treasurer, and Michael H. Woods, president
of Woods Operating, immediate past president.

Amendments
to the Foundation’s By-Laws created
five new openings on the Board of Directors and created
the position of Director Emeritus. Peggy Kinsey, the
Foundation’s 1996-98 president and a founding
member of the Board of Directors, was named the first
Director Emeritus. The five newly elected directors
are: Robert B. Hamm, chairman and president of Berg,
Inc.; local civic leader and philanthropist O. Delton
Harrison Jr.; Sidney Kent, partner in Kent, Kent & Tingle;
Dr. Anil Nanda, professor and chairman of the Department
of Neurosurgery at LSU Health Sciences Center-Shreveport,
and Caddo Parish Sheriff Stephen W. Prator.
