Nonprofit World – Literally!

Dr. Norm Dolch, professor of sociology, director of the Institute for Human Services and Public Policy and holder of the George A. Khoury Jr. Professorship in American Humanics, shows a Blackboard page on the computer screen to Laura Meiki, an instructor in American Humanics and the Institute’s new coordinator for online classes. The Independent Sector (or the nonprofit sector) is the fastest growing segment of the American economy and has created an ever-growing demand for training in nonprofit (or human services) administration – especially for courses taught online. The Institute oversees undergraduate American Humanics, Master of Science in Human Services Administration program and certificate in nonprofit administration programs, and is designing many of the courses to be taught online, meaning students take the classes from anywhere in the world as long as they have computer access to the Internet. For more information, contact Dolch at NDolch@lsus.edu or 318-797-5235.
