RiverBend
Revue set for Sept. 8
The seventh annual RiverBend Revue will take the stage
at Horseshoe’s Riverdome Thursday, Sept. 8, and
honor Leonard and Mary Anne Selber as LSUS Pilot of
the Year.
Another exciting gala event is planned as LSUS recognizes
the Selbers through a musical parody of their life’s
accomplishments. The annual event not only raises essential
funds for LSUS, but also serves as a reminder to the
public of the important role LSUS plays in the economic
and cultural climate of our community.
Past Pilot of the Year honorees include Dr. Vincent
J. Marsala, Joe and Abby Averett, James K. Elrod, George
A. Khoury Jr., Norman and Peggy Kinsey and Virginia
Shehee.
“RiverBend Revue is a wonderful opportunity for
LSUS to thank its donors and raise funds that are critically
needed to support the university,” Vice Chancellor
for University Development Glenda Erwin said. “Leonard
and Mary Anne Selber have been longtime friends to LSUS.
I am especially pleased they are receiving the public
recognition they deserve.”
All proceeds from RiverBend Revue benefit the LSUS Foundation
and the American Humanics Program for Nonprofit Management.
The LSUS Foundation provides supplemental faculty and
program support for all areas of the university. |
