Chancellor Vince Marsala (right) visits with attorney H. F. Sockrider Jr. and his wife, Kay, during the announcement of the H. F. Sockrider Jr. Endowed Scholarship. The scholarship, which will provide support for a pre-law student at LSUS, was established by Earlene Coleman, a member of the LSUS Foundation Board of Directors. During the announcement Sockrider expressed his appreciation of the importance of LSUS to the community and was proud that all four of his sons, Christopher, Gary, Keith and Stephen, attended LSUS, with Christopher and Keith receiving degrees. After graduating Christopher attended medical school at LSUHC-Shreveport and is now a surgeon in Shreveport.
