Dr. Brian Salvatore, associate professor of chemistry,
positions a solvent bottle in the Peptide Synthesizer
purchased from the University of South Carolina by Robert
Bowman so Salvatore could continue his research. Bowman,
president of Bowman Internet Systems, is a member of
the LSUS Foundation Board of Directors. Salvatore and
his wife, Dr. Elahe Mahdavian, an assistant professor
of chemistry, joined the LSUS faculty last fall, coming
from the University of South Carolina.
